We’re in This Together

Declining Health Doesn’t Have to Be a Burden

Some seniors discover that as their health declines, they are incapable of performing their daily activities. Others experience illness, injury, or disease that reduces their independence.

When seniors reach this point, it is normal for them to feel like a burden to others, particularly to their family members. This feeling of helplessness can severely affect their quality of life.

If you have a family member who has recently undergone a fall or who is suffering from an intense illness, consider letting the highly trained staff at one of Aspen’s affiliated facilities help your loved one reach his or her full recovery potential.

Our affiliated rehabilitation teams provide individualized therapy services to help your loved one achieve his or her highest potential of independence and ability. During your loved one’s recovery at a facility, the rehabilitation services can help him or her safely transition from the hospital back to your home. These goals are achieved through the following services:

physical therapy

Physical Therapy

The physical therapists focus on rehabilitation and recovery from physical impairments, pain resolution, and injury prevention. Each facility has a full-service gym and a smaller arena used for training.

Occupational Therapy

The occupational therapists focus on rehabilitation and recovery of functional independence, which includes skills for eating, bathing, toileting, cooking, dressing, and grooming.

Speech Therapy

For those affected by stroke, brain injury, dementia, and other neurological disorders, the speech therapists focus on rehabilitation and recovery of speech, comprehension, chewing and swallowing abilities, and cognitive language skills.
